better beauty - clean beauty with Beautycounter
I did a thing and decided to UP my skincare game and mission for women's beauty standards!!
To be honest - I loved my old skincare. I stayed were I was a little too long because I was, well, comfortable. Don't we all do that? The mission behind #betterbeauty has always called to me but the timing wasn't right. I dove in actually 2 months ago but have been trying products and researching that whole time before sharing!
There are so many products I have fallen in love with, and have learned a lot about what it means to join this movement. I love that in 2020 Beauty counter helped pass THREE landmark clean beauty laws, including one regarding the transparency of fragrance in products. We have a "Never List" of over 1800 ingredients never allowed in our beauty products. I have always been passionate, and bothered, about how many horrible ingredients are lurking in the most popular and widely used beauty products on the shelves. They call them "safe" but when you are putting them on your skin daily, sometimes multiple times a day, is that really safe?
I am also a sucker for beautiful, simple packaging AND reusable items. One of the products that I really love is the new deodorant. It has a refillable container so less waste + cost to you!
BC is also a B corp business - which means they put people, the planet, and profits equally. We are leaping bunny certified and whole heartedly such a good company!! We are EWG certified - which is HUGE to me. Have you ever used the EWG database to research products or ingredients? If you haven't you SHOULD. It is fascinating and eye opening. Products and their ingredients have ratings for safety and go so very detailed.
This honestly seamlessly fits into my lifestyle business and my heart's mission for helping others, raising awareness and education about our bodies and what we put on/in them, and of course top notch skin care.
